Conveyance and Storage of Non-project Water in the Starvation Collection System

The Central Utah Water Conservancy District and the United States Department of the Interior, Central Utah Project Completion Act Office, as Joint Lead Agencies, have released the Final Environmental Assessment (Final EA) and have issued a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the Conveyance and Storage of Non-Project Water in the Starvation Collection System (Starvation Warren Act project) located in Duchesne County, Utah. The Joint Lead Agencies initiated the preparation of an Environmental Assessment in May 2018 to analyze environmental impacts of the Proposed Action. The Final EA and FONSI have been prepared in compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), the Council of Environmental Quality regulations implementing NEPA (40 CFR 1500-1508), and the Department of the Interior regulations implementing NEPA (43 CFR 46). The Final EA presents the impacts for the Starvation Warren Act project. An electronic copy of the Final EA and FONSI can be viewed and downloaded from the link below. The Joint Lead Agencies released a Draft EA dated November 2018 for public and agency review and comment. The comments submitted on the Draft EA and the Joint Lead Agencies responses are found in the Final EA.
